Your ease that is, because the soft, slip-resistant grips and knob make operation a breeze.

With a large, smooth, plastic twist handle that fits nicely in the palm, this can opener operates with a minimum of effort. Flexible rubber fins on the handle absorb the tension necessary to keep the opener in place, while sharp, stainless-steel teeth bite into lids with the agility of a great white shark. A built-in bottle opener completes the design. Sturdy construction and a large twisting knob make this one of the best can openers on the market. Comment: This is sturdy, and ergonomically-friendly (got it for my elderly mother). I checked it out and this is by far my favorite handheld can opener. Even if you're used to the electric kind, this opens cans easily without much strain, has padded handles and is sturdy. And well-priced.

The big test will be if it rusts over the years or loses its grip/cutting ability. That's where others have failed us.
A friend showed us theirs and it looked pretty darn good after 4 years in action.
