Elite Tall Can Opener- Black

This Oster can opener model 3126 is beyond ghastly. I've been using electric can openers since I was a kid in the 60s and the technology must be solid now. But these clowns figured on reinventing the wheel. There's a loose cog sprocket which losens the same way as it revolves when opening a can so eventually the grip wheels gets loose and there's no way to retighten it. Numerous flimsy washers then fall out, perhaps three in all which must have been jury rigged to keep the whole mess in place. Then the whole turning mechanism falls right out of the body.

Sure, it only cost $18 odd bucks but what a pain to have to go out and find a new one. Dreadful waste of money.

I have a yellow and black kitchen so it looked good on the counter. As for opening cans -- not so good. Tonight I gave up. Buying a good old-fashioned manual opener tomorrow.
