I plan to buy some for my sisters-in-law for Christmas. I bought mine at a local store but cannot find it now. It works wonders. I use it with things I used to struggle with - little things like pull tabs and soda bottle tops in addition to the usual things like pickle jars. Every house should have one.

This does everything they say it does, and does it well, but it is HUGE. I returned it solely due to its size. It does not easily fit into any of my kitchen drawers.

I bought two of these. One for myself and one for my mother. And honestly it does a terrible job of opening jars. I have tested it about 4-5 times and have had bad results EVERY time. I really did wit this worked. But the teeth are too small to catch the sides of the jar.

Now, there are tricks to make it work. First, tap the top of the jar with the handle portion. Second use your second hand to VERY FIRMLY hold the jar. Then, make sure you SINK the teeth (the little metal teeth on the inside of the device) into the lid and TURN as hard as you can and this will work MOST of the time as long as you first loosened the jar by banging on top of it.

The device looks cool, and is a great idea, but it really just doesn't work that well. I will continue to try using it and see if I get better results.

The other parts of it, like the hook work great but then again, there are a million other tools/gadgets that I own that do the same thing.
