Great cause, horrible can opener,

I purchased this can opener from a local b & m store. I needed a can opener and have always been pleased with Kitchenaid products. I also liked that Kitchenaid was donating to the Susan G Komen Foundation. It is a great cause but a horrible product. I have repeatedly tried this can opener on varying sizes of cans. It has yet to completely open a can. No matter how tightly I grip the opener, it consistently skips at least two sections of the can leaving it partially opened. No amount of repeat trips around the can will open the skipped sections. I then have to pry the lid open and hope there is enough room to get the contents out. Enough. It is going in the trash because it doesn't even work well enough to donate to someone.

Do not bother buying this product. The KitchenAid can opener does not open cans. As you spin the handle, the opener fails to gain traction and will not rotate the can. This is the worst can opener I have ever seen in my life.
