It seems an affront to simply call this product a can opener. Sure, it does that, but it takes can opening to a new level by making safety a priority. It carefully opens cans from the side and not the top, so that you won't get your fingers messy trying to retrieve the lid. But best of all, a special feature allows it to smooth the edge of the can as it cuts, leaving behind a flat--and safe--surface. It also includes a built-in a knife sharpener for convenience. No more sharp edges to cut your fingers. I can open any size can and it goes around it really smooth. I think maybe one time with a square can it did get stuck. But I would give this a big 5 star.
