Summary: Not a can opener for those with arthritis 2010-07-14
Comment: If you've got arthritis in your hands or grasping things and holding on is very hard or you have no strength in your hands--for whatever reason--this is NOT the can opener you want. It takes a lot of pressure to push the blade through the lids and to get the stupid thing started.

Summary: Cordless Can Opener 2010-07-12
Comment: I purchased this can opener to replace a Black & Decker cordless the I replace once before and that my wife and I enjoyed using because of it's ease of use, and that B&D does not carry anymore. This Hamilton Beach opener is stylish on the counter but misses the mark in ease of operation. It is difficult to attach to a can to start the opening process. It's too early to tell if the chage will hold for the 19 cans it is supposed to open with one charge.

Summary: Good but Difficult 2010-03-15
Comment: I'm handicapped - lost my left arm and shoulder due to cancer 5 years ago - so I need an easy to use can opener. This is a nice unit but I have a very diifficult time setting it.

Summary: Not up to par 2010-02-17
Comment: I had the original white one for many years until it finally gave out. This black one was suppose to be better. Well it isn't. It won't hardly hold a charge and after opening more than one can it has to be charged again. (it seems to have very little power) I am very disappointed and am looking into purchasing something different. Hamilton Beach did not make a very good product and I can't believe they released this for purchase. I've had many of their products and was satisfied with all of them until I bought this can opener. Please don't waste your money!
