But the sticker is the "kicker". The first one I bought, I simply could not get it off. So I returned it. Then I found somehow who wrote a review saying what to do. And it worked !!!! So for those of you who really want this can opener (and you will love it) first pull off the plastic on the sticker. Next soak the paper part of the sticker and pull that off. This will leave the gluey, sticky part - the part that is impossible....but hang in there. Spread the sticky area with butter - yes butter and let it absorb. Then wipe off. It may take a couple of applications of butter, but IT WORKS. I rated this a 5 because I love this can opener....and although it took a lot of effort to get the sticker of, it's well worth it. I also have arthritis in my hands and thought this would be great! I have NEVER had as much trouble getting a label off of something as I did with this! And the finish is ruined on the front! I have tried to open a jar (couldn't be done because my hand needed to stretch further to get a grip on it! hurt my hand!!) I tried opening a simple can yesterday and after 5 minutes of trying to get the can into the blade I gave up and used my reliable hand can opener! Wish I COULD take it back, but no receipt & hubby gave it to me!! |
