I did not buy this product off of amazon, but I had to post a review to tell people how cheap this can opener is. I used it one time and it completely fell apart bolts, springs, and all. I thought I could put the pieces back together and screw everything together better, but when I tried the same thing happened. Didn't even get to open one can with it. Very upsetting.
I have two and both are great,

I had bad luck with a lot of other can openers. I just wanted a can opener that worked, so I bought this one at Walgreens. I liked it so much, I bought another. So far, I've used it on a daily basis for over a year.
It's solid, dishwasher safe, and I've never had a problem opening a can. The only thing I don't like are the removable soft rubber sheaths that fit over the handles. I guess they help with the grip, but the sheaths are not dishwasher safe. This does not bother me, since I don't use them. Not a problem if you hand wash or remove them before dishwashing (I never hand wash, because I can't live without a dishwasher).
