Farberware Soft Grips Manual Can Opener

To be honest, with all the glowing reviews that some other "famous" can openers get, the Farberware brand would not naturally be a first draft kitchen pick for me. I had moved and unfortunately misplaced my can opener; this model was the best available to me locally so I had to give this a try. I am really glad that I did though because it has done a really good job for me in getting cans open reliably and with little effort.

I have severe arthritis in my hands (joint replacements in my knuckles) so tools that work with ease are *VERY* important to me. I find that this can opener does not slip off the can or skip spots as some I've had in the past were prone to do. The handle is broad and ergonomically designed to turn easily and does not hurt my hands or wrist while opening a can. Even with my limited hand strength, I can get a really secure grip on the handles which have a slightly padded rubberized/neoprene-type feel to them.
