I bought this at Target and they no longer appear at Target online. Only 1 is left at Amazon. I assume they are taking this off the market because it simply does not work.
I don't know how you could screw up such a simple device, but they certainly managed to do so. I have never left a bad review before, but this can opener is SUCH a waste of $14.00 that I have felt an obligation to unsuspecting consumers everywhere to voice my experience. I ended up using my dollar store hand opener every time I would attempt to use it. Having a problem with my hands now and then, I found this nonfunctioning chunk of material sitting on my counter staring at me to be particularly infuriating. I do not know how any mechanical designer or engineer who had anything to do with its design can sleep at night, that is unless designing such a piece of worthless junk is some kind of evil fun to them.

This is the worst piece of junk I've ever used. I have yet to see it successfully open a can.

The only other review for this product so far is hilarious but I think the customer gave up too easily. After initially going through the same agony as the aforementioned person, and reading her review, I found a youtube video for electric can openers. I tried again and lo! It worked like magic. I only hope I'm able to repeat the magic the next time. If not, I'll definitely downgrade the rating. :)
