Comment: This is a handy item with anyone that suffers from Arthritis or Carpal Tunnel...No more straining to open a jar! I highly recommend this product and it's simple to use.

Comment: I used to do the jar lids in my family, but recently had to go off my arthritis medicine. The effect was fingers and wrists hurt so much I could not open jars. This product filled the gap and I can now open jars again. HoRaa!

Comment: I purchased this item as a gift for my sister-in-law, who has RA. My sister-in-law received another jar opener from a friend, but said it was much too large and not convenient to use. She had stored it under the counter and was not using it. When she received the one I had sent to her she was so happy with it because it was a smaller one and much more convenient to use - she decided to keep it and is very happy with it.

Comment: Selected this lid opener for 60 yr old wife with small hands. She finds it easy to use and convenient. Opens stuck lids well and design is good esthetically and practically. Easy to move from storage to area of use.

Summary: Poorly made, fell apart after 2 uses 2010-02-11
Comment: This was our 2nd B&D can opener; the first lasted 3 years and my Mother loved it because of her arthritis. When the rubber that holds the bottles/cans in place finally started wearing off we immediately decided to buy a new one. We upgraded from the basic white original model to the newer black one and after only 2 uses those same rubber holding pieces fell off! We were very disappointed in the quality of this product after being very pleased with it's predecessor.
